E-Commerce Director

The position is global and reports directly to the CEO. The Director of E-Commerce will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Ecommerce business and growing its profitable revenues.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Department P&L. Responsible to achieve sales and margin goals. Define, present and execute strategies to grow business globally (merchandising, user experience, marketing, logistics,…)
  • Drive, monitor and report on all Ecommerce and Digital Advertising KPIs (AOV, UPT, returns, net sales, repeat customers, new customers, CLV, traffic, conversion rate, cart abandonment rate,CAC, ROAS, bounce rate, user behavior, customer satisfaction,…etc.)
  • Forecast seasonally as well as up to 3 year growth plans. Allocate annual and seasonal target for the Global and the European sites, as well as Jcrew, Madewell and Farfetch. Plan to deliver on established short and long term sales goals
  • Proactively manage the E-Commerce channel both from a planning and merchandising approach: inventory, sell through, allocation, OTB, promotions, markdowns
  • Responsible for buying the collection 3 times a year and ensuring effective management and optimization of inventory based on accurate forecasting
  • Responsible for the site content, visual merchandising, navigation, functionality, Shopify apps, merchandise and compliance
  • Partner with developers agency as needed to improve user experience
  • Assure constant brand standards, visual merchandising updates on the site in collaboration with Marketing Manager
  • Assess and optimize website for strong SEO performance
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager on digital communication (Email flow, Newsletters, Social Media) as well as on monitoring performance from 3rd party agency deliverables and assess Affiliates potential
  • Execute daily, weekly detailed sales reporting and share thorough Monthly financial, KPI report
  • Develop monthly reports to provide data and insights to internal teams on Ecommerce performance. React as needed to maximize sales performance Supervise Ecommerce/Customer Service Assistant and ensure they meet their performance goals.
  • Provide hands on direction and constructive feedback to encourage growth
  • Guarantee the customer experience and be responsible for its full journey including user experience – identify improvements and action plans
  • Collaborate with Director of Wholesale and Merchandising sharing sales trends, performance insights
  • Collaborate with Design team to create storytelling and product descriptions for the website
  • Managing the e-commerce calendar to ensure timeliness of product uploads, collection launches, website assets, digital marketing assets, product delivery…etc.
