Retail Visual Merchandiser

The Retail Visual Merchandiser will work in coordination with our US Retail Store locations and support in the development of creative visual concepts to build attractive store displays that encourage potential customers to enter stores and purchase merchandise. Additionally, the visual merchandiser will help create floor plans for our retail spaces as an element of increasing sales.
This role will combine both marketing as well as sales skills in order to promote the company’s image visually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
  • Inspire guests to discover solutions through compelling visual merchandising
  • Influence a store team of leaders, Style Consultants and General Merchandise (GM) experts to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards
  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, guest engagement; including: merchandising, transitions, events and promotions
  • Lead the execution of the company Visual Merchandising strategy, visual standards and In Store Marketing (ISM) implementation across all pertinent areas of the store
  • Partner with store leaders to plan, support and validate the execution of all Visual Merchandising Guides (VMG) sets in the store
  • Support the execution of Visual Merchandising Guides (VMG) and Visual Adjacencies (VA) floor sets
  • Support changes to product assortment and keep the area inspiring to guests all year round by remerchandising new product and maintaining a brand space following new sets
  • Partner to maintain visual integrity by remerchandising in store visual moments

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years diversified experience in apparel/accessories visual merchandising. A background in retail of upscale brand and/or department stores is a plus.
  • Experience working with international brands is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extremely strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to meaningfully interact with retail stores and HQ points of contact
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, ever changing environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel frequently within the US, as required.
  • Will travel twice a year to HQ in Italy
