Meet Our Team
Known for her compassion and positive energy, Jenna Clinton is coming up on her third year with The Bowerman Group. Jenna brings a unique perspective to the team having started her recruiting career in the highly competitive IT agency side of the industry which is paired with several years of sales/ management in retail. She has been able to combine her passion for advancing people’s careers in an industry that she knows and loves. Jenna is successful in identifying the cultural needs of both her clients and candidates in order to best match them. She is able to see beyond the resume in order to identify personality traits that will make for a long term successful placement.
What do you love most about recruiting for the retail industry?
I love recruiting in an industry that I am passionate about! Having the ability to shape the organizations of the brands I personally love is an incredible experience. What is unique about recruiting in the retail industry is that I can actually pop into the stores and visit with my candidates and clients. It is a rewarding experience to see them so happy in the environments they have successfully created themselves. The retail industry is full of extraordinary people and I am lucky enough to speak with them every day.
How do you stay productive during this work from home period?
Definitely keeping a schedule is key! Schedule each half hour of your day and include your coffee/social media breaks so you do not get off course. Write a to-do list and check your tasks off as you go (soo satisfying!). Find a quiet space that is dedicated to YOU( this might be hard for some of you but do the best you can). Set a timer on your phone to limit your social media intake. Remember these are unprecedented times and just do the best you can 🙂
Where would we find you when you are not working?
You will most likely find me with my three best friends (my fiancé and our two rescue dogs)! The three of us are lucky enough to live within walking distance of the beach and hiking trails. We LOVE exploring the beach and all the hiking trails our community has to offer.
What is one item you cannot live without?
My DryBar Buttercup Blow-Dryer! I would be lost without it!
Best advice you can give to someone right now?
Do the best you can! Let go of the things you cannot control and focus on what you can control. This has helped me immensely. These are truly unprecedented times and we are all trying to figure out how to navigate through it. Limit your news intake but still stay informed. Check in often with your family and friends. Take time to appreciate what you have and what you are most grateful for. We are all in this together! If I can help in any way, please reach out to me.
