As we’ve discussed things such as interviewing tips, candidate engagement, job search strategies, and so on, it strikes me how much the recruitment industry and job search process has shifted since my start as a newbie recruiter in the 90s.

Walt Disney once said “Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.” The recruitment industry and the luxury brand worlds of retail, wholesale and e-commerce where we have chosen to live have certainly changed rapidly and, as a search firm, we have had to keep our aim toward the future.

To meet the needs of our clients and candidates, The Bowerman Group has also evolved into a full-service staffing firm. We are what I like to call “narrow and deep” within our chosen niche of luxury brands so that we can flex to best serve our client’s hiring needs and the changing demographics of the workplace.

 

As a search firm, we have had to keep our aim toward the future.

 

Over the years, we found that the missing piece for us was contract placement: our ability to fill the needs of our clients seeking executive talent on a temp basis. We’re happy to announce that we are now able to effectively facilitate these contract placements through a new partnership with a top resource who can provide the back-office solutions needed to support contract hiring.

This allows us to complete the transition to a full-service staffing firm. We see tremendous benefits to our client companies as we can provide talent to “bridge the gap” during an executive absence, special project, or even the time it takes to complete a detailed engaged search—letting someone “test drive” the position while other candidates are being interviewed. We’re happy that we can now provide more employment options to our loyal candidate pool as well.
