What makes us different from other firms?

In addition to our expertise in the industry, we’re often complimented on our process. If you’re a client company, you want candidates presented for your search to be well-screened, informed, and genuinely interested in your opportunity. If you’re a candidate, you want to be well-briefed on the company and in the position to determine if it’s a good fit for you.

I grew up in the retail industry, and a mentor used to tell me that retail is detail. Recruiting certainly is detail, too, and we take the time to look at the details of the company we’re recruiting for. We look beyond the job description to what will make somebody really successful in the role and that company’s culture. This can only come from time spent with the hiring authority in a conversation, not just taking a job order via email.

Then, as we’re speaking with you as a candidate, we’ll openly discuss your career, journey, and goals before presenting a particular role. This is a very important difference. We’re not just trying to sell you on a position—we’re trying to make the right match.

If we agree there’s a potential match in the conversation, we’ll take a deeper dive into the company and the job; we’ll also review our mutual expectations in terms of commitment to the process, communication, and follow-up.

We’ll then typically schedule a follow-up interview with you. This will also allow you the time to review any materials we sent, consider the opportunity, and research that company.

Yes, this might take a few extra days after the initial point of contact, but we truly believe it’s better than presenting client companies with resumes of candidates who aren’t fully screened or fully vested in the interview process.

Ultimately, this saves our clients and candidates a lot of time in the long run with a more qualified, more engaged, and better-prepared candidate pool. Our candidates consistently tell us that their experience with our team is head and shoulders above other firms.
